Which exam is easy: BANK PO or SSC CGL?

The word “Competition” makes the exam tough be it from any sector GOVERNMENT or BANKING. For the past two years bank exams have become unpredictable as there is a constant change in the pattern. SSC CGL exam is also a difficult exam since 2017. With the advent of difficulty level raised in all the exams there is no dearth of quality study material and coaching centers. Digitalization has increased the level of awareness thus more than 30 lacs candidates apply every year for the exams.

Bank PO exam is easy to qualify than SSC CGL, Bank PO exam preparation can be completed in 4 months where as SSC CGL exam preparation needs more than 5 months.

Let us examine the syllabus of both the exams which makes BANK PO exam to be easy than SSC CGL

BANK PO syllabus is less than SSC CGL

A) Quantitative Aptitude

 In Bank PO,Topics to be covered are Arithmetic and DI part. DI can be mastered by learning 3 topics, i.e. Ratio, Average and Percentage. Also, But, arithmetic doesn't play a key role in Quant section. BANK PO mains include more than 23 questions for DI section and 5 questions from quadratic inequalities, 5 from series, 5 from data sufficiency and rest from arithmetic. It means that without preparing much of arithmetic one can qualify Bank PO exam. But in SSC CGL most of the questions are based on arithmetic section. SSC CGL, syllabus is vast than Bank PO, besides Arithmetic, one has to master higher maths also which is not the part of BANK COACHING INSTITUTE IN JAMMU.

(B) English Comprehension

BANK PO English section is easy for those who are good in comprehension as most of the questions are based on reading and comprehension abilities. The question are bifurcated as 20 marks of Passage, 5 marks of cloze test (sometimes 10 marks), 5 marks of parajumbles, all these topics are nothing but just test of comprehension. There is not much need for vocabulary. In SSC CGL we need to master vocabulary which is very lengthy and painful exercise. There is no need to mug up  Idioms and Phrases, Phrasal Verbs, One Word Substitutions, Antonyms and Synonyms for Bank PO

 (C) Reasoning

Reasoning section is tough for BANK PO exam than SSC CGL Exam. Questions asked have high difficulty level than SSC CGL questions. Bank PO aspirants have to practice a lot to ace the exam as compared to SSC CGL.

(D) General Studies/GK/Current Affairs

BANK PO General Awareness section is easy as it is mostly based on current affairs of last 3 months. Few questions are based on static GK related to bank and economics. Bank exam has a separate computer section which needs basics of computer application for prelims exam.

SSC CGL General Studies section has a vast syllabus and it is based more on the facts and data of History and Geography topics. It is very difficult to complete the syllabus of GK section of SSC CGL Exam.

After comparing both the exams SSC CGL Exam needs more hard work than BANK PO exam. Although cut off has considerably increased in both the exams yet SSC CGL needs more work and time to ace the exam.
